Sending money with Calen is simple. Here’s how it works:
Step 1 — Choose the balance you want to send from
Open the Calen app, select the balance you want to use, then tap Send.
Enter the amount you’d like to send.
Before you continue, we’ll show you the exchange rate, any applicable fees and how much your recipient is expected to receive.
Step 2 — Choose who you’re sending to
Select an existing recipient or tap Add new recipient.
Depending on the destination and payment route, you may need details such as:
Recipient’s full name
Bank name
Account number or local account details
Country
Any other information required for that payment route
Take a moment to make sure everything is correct.
Step 3 — Review your transfer
Before anything moves, you’ll see a full summary of the transfer, including:
Amount you’re sending
Currency you’re sending
Exchange rate
Any applicable fees
Recipient details
Amount the recipient is expected to receive
If everything looks good, tap Confirm.
Step 4 — Authorise the payment
Confirm the transfer using your Calen PIN, biometric authentication or another security step available on your account.
This helps us make sure it’s really you making the payment.
Step 5 — We’ll take it from here
Once confirmed, your transfer will begin processing.
You can follow its progress in the Calen app.
Your transfer may move through statuses such as:
Initiated → Processing → Completed
Transfer times can vary depending on the currency, destination, payment method, receiving institution and whether any additional checks are required.
Before you hit send
Always double-check the recipient’s details.
Once a transfer has been completed, it may not be possible to cancel or recover the money.
