What should I do if I suspect fraudulent activity on my Calen account?

Written by Daniel Bamidele

If something doesn’t look right, act quickly. The sooner you report it, the sooner we can help protect your account.

1. Change your password

Change your Calen password immediately and make sure the new password is strong and unique.

Avoid reusing a password you use for another app or website.

2. Secure your account

If available, enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) or biometric security such as Face ID or fingerprint authentication.

If you think someone may have access to your phone or email account, secure those as well.

3. Review your recent activity

Check your recent transactions and account activity carefully.

Look out for:

  • Transfers you don’t recognise

  • Changes to your account details

  • New beneficiaries you didn’t add

  • Login or security alerts you weren’t expecting

  • Card transactions you didn’t make

4. Contact Calen Support immediately

Report the suspicious activity using an official Calen support channel.

When you contact us, provide as much information as possible, including:

  • The transaction amount

  • Date and time

  • Currency

  • Recipient or merchant details

  • Transaction reference, if available

  • Screenshots or messages connected to the incident

  • Anything else that looks unusual

This helps our team investigate faster.

5. If your card is involved

If you have a Calen card and believe it has been lost, stolen or compromised, freeze the card immediately in the app where this feature is available.

Then contact Calen Support so we can help with the next steps.

A quick reminder 🔐

Never share your:

  • Password

  • PIN

  • One-time verification code

  • Full card security details

Calen will never ask you to send these details through WhatsApp, social media or an unsolicited message.

If you’re unsure whether something is genuine, don’t approve the payment or share any information. Contact us first.
