I shared my account details with someone I don’t trust. What should I do?

Written by Daniel Bamidele

If you’ve only shared your account name, account number and bank details, that information alone would not normally allow someone to access your Calen account or move money from it.

However, if you’re concerned, it’s still worth being careful.

What should I do now?

  • Do not share any more information, especially your password, PIN, one-time codes, card details or identity documents.

  • Be cautious of unexpected calls, messages or payment requests from the person.

  • Check your Calen account regularly for anything you don’t recognise.

  • Contact Calen Support immediately if you notice suspicious activity or think someone may be trying to access your account.

If you shared more than your account details

If you also shared your password, PIN, verification code, card security details or other sensitive information, change your security details immediately and contact Calen Support.

Calen will never ask you to share your password, PIN or one-time security codes through WhatsApp, social media or an unexpected message.

Your account details can be used to receive money, but your security information should always stay private.
